with Kieran Johnston
Kieran Johnston has never been much of a performer but has always held music as an important value. Since age 10 he has been playing guitar and volunteering at concerts for free tickets. The 19 year old can now often be found at friend's shows, curating playlists, or browsing through thrift store cassette bins looking for gems.
Always hungry for adventure, Kieran has travelled all around this scenic province. Despite his love of Edmonton he often escapes the city to climb a mountain or soak in some prairie expanse. His guitar will sometimes join him on a trip to be played in a remote forest. There's nothing better on the long drives out of the city than some Johnny Cash, or Colter Wall. After years of selfishly hoarding it to himself, it is now Kieran's honour to share his passion of country music with Big E radio.
This hour will feature some of Kieran's favourite country and western tunes. As you'll hear, the chosen songs have strong lyricism and personal connections to his life. Please lean back and enjoy the coming stories and songs.
